Searches for long-lived particles and exotic signatures at the LHC
Heather Russel (McGill University)

Despite the best efforts of many people, physics beyond the standard model has yet to be discovered. A variety of exotic signatures that would hide from traditional searches have been postulated in an attempt to explain where such new physics could be hiding.
This seminar will provide an overview of some of the stranger, more exotic models that are searched for at LHC experiments, with an emphasis on long-lived, neutral particles.
