Present status of coherent neutrino nucleus scattering searches

Coherent neutrino nucleus scattering is one out of six neutrino interactions predicted by the Standard Model, but the only one yet to be detected. Recent progresses in detector development, however, seem to allow an observation of this reaction channel in the next few years.
This talk gives an introduction to the subject, outlines the experimental challenges and describes the current attempts worldwide to succeed in such a measurement. Further physics questions addressed by future precision measurements of coherent neutrino nucleus scattering will be discussed.
