The mass of the neutrino - truly
Prof. Klaus Helbing (Universität Wuppertal)

Precision measurements of the kinematics of the weak beta decay processes are a model independent and direct approach to determine the absolute neutrino mass. This presentation reviews the current status of direct neutrino mass searches. The KArlsruhe TRItium Neutrino experiment (KATRIN) will be discussed in some detail as well as future experiments.
