Investigating heavy mesons and tetraquarks with Lattice QCD

I give a brief introduction for non-experts, how to compute hadron masses using lattice QCD. Then I discuss two of our recent projects, (1) the computation of the low-lying spectra of D mesons, D_s mesons and charmonium states and (2) the study of possibly existing heavy-heavy-light-light tetraquarks.
