The LHCb experiment is designed to study the decays and properties of heavy flavoured hadrons produced in the forward region from pp collisions at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. During Run1, it has recorded the world’s largest data sample of beauty baryons, enabling precise studies of their properties and decays. A detailed analysis of the Lambda_b -> J/psi P K decay has led to the observation of two resonant structures in the J/psi P system, which are compatible with exotic 5-quark baryon states. This analysis will be reviewed and its results examined in various model interpretations.
