Though the BABAR experiment was terminated more than four years ago, two analyses based on the full data set have recently revealed two very interesting features of weak interactions in the decays of B mesons: a unique proof of the violation of the invariance under time reversal and an excess of events in semileptonic decays involving tau leptons. The motivation for these measurements , the innovative experimental techniques , and the impact of the results on our understanding of the fundamentals of weak interactions will be presented.
