Higgs physics at the LHC - SM and Beyond
Prof. Margarete Mühlleitner (Institut für Theoretische Physik, KIT, Karlsruhe)

Recently, the LHC experiments ATLAS and CMS have updated their results on the Higgs boson search. Both experiments see an excess of data which is compatible with a Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson hypothesis around 125 GeV. Statistics at the moment are too low, however, to claim discovery, and we will have to wait the end of the year to see if the tantalizing hints of the LHC experiments will be confirmed by the eclosion of the Higgs boson at the 5 sigma level. In this seminar, I will talk about SM Higgs physics at the LHC. Furthermore, I will discuss SUSY and Composite Higgs extensions beyond the SM in view of the recent Higgs results.
