Dark Matter Detection
Dr. Malcolm Fairbairn (King's College London)

The LHC continues to take data, the Fermi satellite is fully operational, AMS-02 should have been safely launched by the time this talk is being given and the search for dark matter in underground detectors is accelerating. We may soon find ourselves having to compare events at colliders with events in direct detection experiments. I will try to overview some of this activity for non specialists and then I will try to explain some of the astrophysical uncertainties which will affect these comparisons and what we are doing to reduce them.
