I will review the status and prospects for lattice studies of kaon physics.
I will present a selection of physics results from the RBC/UKQCD collaborations programme of simulations using the Domain Wall Fermion formulation for the quarks. This formulation has good chiral and flavour symmetries allowing for a wide range of physical quantities to be determined with good precision. The topics which will be discussed include the validity of Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT), the evaluation of low energy constants and the precise determination of the Vus matrix element of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix and the BK parameter of neutral kaon mixing. Prospects for the computations of nonleptonic kaon decay amplitudes which are currently beginning will also be briefly outlined.
