The present talk will show some results obtained by the use of computer and it will be divided into two parts. The first part will focus on the scaling behaviour of knotted polymers in so-called theta solvent and in melt phase. The second part will introduce a modeling strategy to study the dynamic of replication factors in living mammalian cells.
