BCS-BEC Crossover with Cold Atoms: From Molecular Condensates to Cooper Pairs
Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Zwerger (Universität Innsbruck)

The BCS-BEC crossover problem is considered for a two component ultracold Fermi-gas with an interaction which may be tuned using a Feshbach resonance. Some general features of this crossover and recent experiments are discussed. An exact solution of the problem is given in the particular case of ultracold gases, which are confined into one-dimensional atomic wires using strong optical lattices.
