The Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI) is an antisymmetric exchange interaction between localized spins in magnetic materials, induced by relativistic spin-orbit coupling.
In this talk, I firstly present a theory for the calculation of DMI and show how a large non-homogeneous DMI, a Lifshitz-type invariant term, might be induced at the interface of antiferromagnetic/heavy-metal bilayers [1]. Then, I will demonstrate the possibility of all-magnonic helicity-dependent domain-wall motion in the presence of this chiral interaction [2].
