Astroparticle Physics is a young and emerging research field at the intersection of particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology. It deals with fascinating phenomena related to particles at the highest energies, to objects of huge size and to signals from the earliest time in our universe. The investigation of such phenomena needs the development of new experimental techniques implemented in instruments at challenging locations like the South Pole, the Mediterranean deep sea or the Khomas highland in Namibia. The colloquium talk will give an introduction to the physics questions and to selected projects in astroparticle physics. The physics as well as the projects are highly motivating for university students and also for high school students. Some initiatives will be presented which aim at the attraction and education of students at different levels.
