ZZ production at NNLO

In this talk, I will discuss the recent NNLO prediction for the total Z pair production cross section at the LHC. A key element entering the calculation is the analytical result for the two-loop corrections.
Starting from a pedagogical example, I will describe how the masterintegrals were obtained in terms of multiple polylogarithms using modern methods.
