Secondary mass effects in SCET

We present a method to determine secondary mass effects in jet production using the formalism of soft-collinear effective theory (SCET). The setup is based on the field theoretic treatment of collinear and soft massive modes which have to be separated coherently from the collinear and ultrasoft modes related to massless quarks and gluons. As a concrete example we take the thrust distribution for e+ e- collisions in the dijet.
