Periodic magnetization states induced by spin-polarized current in nanomagnets
Dr. Volodymyr Kravchuk (Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics, Kyiv, Ukraine)

Stable periodic structures of magnetization can appear in planar nanomagnets under the action of transverse spin-polarized current. Type of the structure depends on the dimension of the system: square vortex-antivortex superlattices (vortex-antivortex crystals) are found in 2D films, while periodic domain structure appears in 1D nanowires. Cross-tie and diamond states are typical for the intermediate case of magnetic nanostripes.
This is a theoretical study based on the Landau-Lifshitz-Slonczewski phenomenological model. All analytic results are confirmed with micromagnetic simulations.
All interested are cordially welcome!
