An interesting observable in top quark physics is the top-antitop invariant mass spectrum, where resonances could be visible in case of new heavy particles. However, top particles contributing to the large values region of this spectrum are boosted. The products of their decay, being collimated, appear as an unique large jet in the detector.
In order to identify such events and to reconstruct the top momentum, top-tagger techniques, based on large jet substructure, have been developed.
This talk will present these techniques (ATLAS-CONF-2012-065) and their applications in the case of the lepton+jets final state (ATLAS-CONF-2012-136).
