The calculation of differential cross sections and distributions in perturbative QCD beyond the leading order requires methods to regularize and handle the infrared (IR) divergences that appear in the intermediate steps of such computations. The antenna subtraction formalism provides a solution to this problem. As a step towards the fully differential treatment of heavy quark pair production at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in perturbative QCD at the Tevatron and the LHC, I will discuss the construction of NNLO antenna subtraction terms for the production of a heavy quark-antiquark pair by an uncolored initial state. Emphasis will be put on the analytical computation of the corresponding integrated subtraction terms. As an application and check of our results, I will elaborate on the calculation of the inclusive heavy-quark pair production cross section in e+e− annihilation at NNLO QCD.
