Flavour Physics in the Soft Wall Model
Paul Archer (Sussex University)

While the Randall and Sundrum (RS) model offers a compelling description of flavour, it is none the less plagued by a number of problems. In particular it suffers from tight constraints coming from Kaon physics. Here we look to extend the RS description of flavour into models with a soft wall (SW). In the SW model the IR brane is removed and the extra dimension extends to infinity. A discrete KK spectrum is obtained by smoothly cutting off the space with a `dilaton' field. Critically the space necessarily requires a bulk Higgs which in turn results in a change in the range of possible fermion masses and a significant reduction in the constraints from observables such as epsilon_K.
