I will briefly review some recent developments to address different experimental issues in Higgs and new physics searches by looking for so-called fat jets. These are jets from heavy particles, like a Higgs boson or a top quark, which decay to hadronic final states. Such fat jets can be tagged and reconstructed in analogy to a bottom jet. For example, a top tag allows us to extract supersymmetric top squark signals from their overwhelming backgrounds.
