Particle physics is often associated with huge experiments like the LHC which explore the high energy frontier.
However, small scale, low energy but high precision experiments can provide a wealth of complementary information on the fundamental laws of nature.
Indeed, a variety of low energy experiments have discovery potential for new light, 'hidden' particles with extremely weak interactions.
Examples for these particles are axions, axion-like particles, hidden sector photons and minicharged particles.
In this talk we will look both at the motivation for such particles as well as possible ways to detect them.
