A brief introduction to chaotic strings
Dr. habil. Stefan Groote (Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Tartu, Estland)

In this talk I advertise chaotic strings as a pure mathematical model which promise to give answers to present open questions in elementary particle physics and cosmology. Unexplained are the mass spectrum of elementary particles, the occurence of dark energy, and the development of usual four-dimensional space-time as a part of a 11-dimensional manifold in the course of the fundamental process well-known as Big Bang. This process is looked at under a new, philosophical point of view as being not in space-time, but instead space-time generating. The talk of course cannot dwell on every point in detail but hopefully will give an overview and the taste of the subject which is exciting and encouraging for the author.
