New frontiers in the laser-polarised Helium-3 playground

At the ENS, part of the work carried out with hyperpolarised Helium-3 aims at developing the gas polarisation techniques and its use for human lung imaging by magnetic resonance. The talk will describe pioneering investigations of laser optical pumping in non standard conditions (high pressures, high magnetic fields) and of in-vivo NMR performed at 3mT.
