Probing Yukawa Unification with K and B Mixing
Dr. Susanne Westhoff (Karlsruhe)

In supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories, the unification of down-quark and charged-lepton Yukawa couplings links the large atmospheric neutrino mixing angle to b -> s transitions. As Yukawa unification fails for light fermions, one introduces corrections which affect s -> d and b -> d transitions via the mixing of the corresponding right-handed superpartners. On the basis of a specific SUSY-SO(10) model, we analyse the strong constraints from K-Kbar and B-Bbar mixing on the flavour structure of these corrections. Furthermore I will discuss the impact of large neutrino mixings on the unitarity triangle and the large CP-violating phase recently observed in B_s -> psi phi decays.
