Superconductivity in Fe pnictides under pressure and doping. Similarities and differences.

In this talk we will present a comparative analysis of pressure-induced and doping-induced superconductivity in the 122 compound BaFe₂As₂ based on neutron diffraction experiments, ARPES and bandstructure calculations. We will show the importance of structural distortions for the onset of superconductivity and discuss the various scenarios for the mechanism of superconductivity in these materials.
