Multipartite Entanglement: Observation, Analysis and Application
Prof. Dr. Harald Weinfurter (LMU München)

We describe how parametric downconversion together with linear optics logic gates can be utilized to observe a number of useful four-photon entangled states. We decribe methods how to analyze the entanglement and how to discriminate the observed state against other fourpartite states.
We demonstrate first applications like quantum secret sharing and a quantum simulation revealing, for the first time, anyonic quantum statistics.
