The many faces of the Hanbury Brown Twiss effect"
Prof. Chris Westbrook (Institut d'Optique, Palaiseau, France)

Correlation measurements in atomic physics have suddenly become important in cold atom physics. I will give an overview of the effect, with its many different intrepretations including some history as well as examples from other fields. I'll also talk more in detail about experiments in Palaiseau using meta-stable helium atoms.
